I've never been the biggest fan of French cuisine but after a full night of heavy drinking and partying, on my way back home, while not exactly knowing where I was, I stumbled upon Chez Fred. Feeling a bit dizzy and quite hungover decided to order chef's surprise menu even before seeing the menu. Imagine my surprise when I woke up that Saturday evening with the best hairdo I've had in years. I remember nothing about the food quality, and have no idea what they did to Fred cuz I haven't seen him eversince but in all these years after that incident I've been satisfied with the hairstyling result. The staff are lovely and professional too. So if you ever find yourself in the Hague feeling like eating some boiled frogs, fried snails or whatever weird 'food' French are into, do yourself a favor and just go to Chez Fred, order the chef's surprise menu, and have a proper haircut. Cuz that's what you need in your life, and for sweet baby Jesus' sake leave the freaking frogs and snails alone!

Made appointment and went over within the next hour. The salon is next to Passage in the very city center. My hairdresser was there waiting for me but unfortunately he couldn’t speak not even one word in English. In Den Haag center!When I asked the sully lady working there(from Serbia) of how we are going to communicate in order to explain to him what I want she replied with “a haircut is universal” therefore no need for explanations or what you want to have. The haircut was clearly bad,asymmetrical,with many imperfections and simply overpriced. The hairdresser was a polite guy but he wanted to speak of different topics but he was not focused on the actual reason I was there which it was the haircut .Finally I ended up pay paying 29,50 for a bad haircut and then more money on top into another hairdresser in order to fix the situation.Not satisfied at all!

Great service, hairdresser knew what I wanted very fast. Attention to detail, friendly attitude. Highly recommended.
