The most amazing book store there is
What an honestly lovely man. We were greeted by the brilliance of his aura and he offered me a cup of tea before I looked around. He knows a lot about books and really loves the place, so it's definitely worth checking out the life of a passion. It's a shop reminiscent of daylight by the canal (which is exactly the view you're presented by when going to the store) and if I ever come to Amsterdam again, I'll make sure to pay another visit
We were looking for a cute, waterfront spot in the sun and we landed on the Happy Bookieman's book store which was the BEST surprise. His book store looks like something out of a old romantic movie, and his three small tables right on the canal are dreamy. The owner is such a sweet man, the location is bang in the middle of the city but with local prices (not tourist prices), bang in the sun, he plays music out of the book store, let us use his bike, overall it felt really good to be there and will definitely come back!
If you like the classic used bookstore vibe, with stacks of books everywhere, this is for you. They have English and Dutch books. The owner was incredibly friendly and also offered us coffee or tea. Definitely a place to wander into!
Nice friendly book dealer. I couldn't find the book that I wanted. But he told me where I would be able to find it.
