A very strange experience with the sales representative. My wife and I walked into the showroom to look at the Hyundai i10. A young salesman was on the phone in his office. After looking around for 10 minutes we waited next to an i10 close to his office for him to finish his call. In the meantime a delivery driver (holding green number plates) entered and also stood waiting. As soon as the salesman finished his call he went directly to the driver and attended to him and his requirements. Whilst attending to him the salesman passed right by us three times. At no time did he look at us or even acknowledge our presence in any way whatsoever! When he finished with the driver he then, and only then, approached us. As can be imagined that did not impress us, but the best was still to come. We informed him that we were interested in the Hyundai i10 Automatic Transmission model. He replied quite positively and clearly that Hyundai did not sell the i10 Automatic in The Netherlands. I did not question this because I immediately thought that I must have made a mistake when checking on the model on line before going to the dealer. Upon returning home I rechecked on the official Dutch Hyundai site and yes it showed that they did sell an Automatic version of the i10. I then further verified this by calling the official Hyundai NL office. They confirmed that the Automatic was indeed available in The Netherlands and were astounded that we had been informed otherwise! Needless to say, we will not return to this dealer in Heerlen who's salesman lacks good manners and basic knowledge of the product he sells.
