#44Helmond free to enter with the museum card. The outside is well maintained. The inside is a little dull if you are not into this type of thing, but they have tried to liven it up with some screens and animations, for me the view from inside the castle is worth seeing and I loved one very colourful exhibition 'Maria Van Brabant' . A powerful woman who's legacy is/was somewhat underappreciated . Nice cafe and courtyard. Next to castle are the fabric warehouses also interesting to see along the canal #railthetrails

Definitely a spot that you need to add on your \to visit\ list. If you are in Helmond don't miss it out and if you are a museum card holder, surely make the effort to visit it. Castle Helmond is a relatively small castle converted into a museum, but what the curator succeeded in doing, is making it a wonderful educational experience for kids and adults alike. It's clear a great attention was taken to recreate the atmosphere of the medieval times when this castle was built and used as a residence for the Lord.
Worth to visit! The staffs are very friendly, and the castle, exhibitions are very nice organized. Most items provides English for the people who is not so good in Dutch!
Wonderful landmark to walk around, museum is less impressive.
Helmond is a cute small city. It has a lot of stores and restaurants from different countries. Easy for an afternoon. The city centrum is nice and pleasant. You can find those upside down houses too and a beautiful castle. (I’ve got a 360* picture of the castle inside here in the profile) Easy transport from Eindhoven (10 min by train)
