I was there. I would not believe it otherwise. We ordered 5 different dishes, mine was the steak sandwich. I remember it vividly. The meat was a little bit chewy, making my portion the only one not perfect. As soon as the owner knew, he rushed off, uttering the words \We can do better!\. And do better they did, they came back with a perfect dish, awakening the urge to write this review. Good food and nice people who want to give you the best experience.

Friendly people serving, really nice place to stay, very good food and allowing dogs to be inside. Perfect: - Onion soup (8/10). - Chicken with blue cheese sauce... (10/10). - Steak sandwich (7/10). - Brownie (8/10).

WOW! after living in the SF Bay Area for 25 yrs, i moved here, to Leiden, 20 years ago...and i thought i had to go to Den Haag to get food this good. and the price is VERY reasonable... there's a few weekly specials, one of which i had tonite. it was a pasta in a gamba, pernod, green(spring) onion, cream sauce...the balance of flavors was nothing less than perfect...and the sauce was creamy but not thickly heavy...the price? 12.50!!!! it wasn't a small portion, but i was sorry when it was gone... ; - ) the bistro itself is not large. but it felt very cozy while i waited for my food to go... it seems to be a family business...including a young man, prob the son, helping out...they were warm/friendly... next week i intend to try the pasta dish that's been on the menu for a while...in a duck and truffle sauce...am VERY much looking forward to it...

That Steak Sandwich!! We stopped over for a quick lunch and we got it right. The owners are such lovely and accommodating people, the food is amazing and the coffee hits the spot. This is slightly hidden away from the usual spots and tends to attract more locals than tourists.
