Hortus Botanicus Leiden was wonderful! There was so much to see (we need to come back again!). We spent most of our times in the greenhouses and it was magnificent. The staff at Hortus were really lovely and helpful. The cafe and shop is stunning too. Will definitely come back again!

This place was amazing. I spent hours walking around slowly and I have to say I haven't seen something so impressive and calming at the same time in a long time. The only thing I can say is to have a look for yourself. The atmosphere really gave me a warm and lively feeling.

Many exotic plants, indoor and outdoor hours of wandering about. The gardens and plants are well kept and the place looks tidy. There is plenty of information, books and maps. The coffee bar offers nice coffee and a nice selection of delicious pastries. Yum! The service is good and friendly. There are seats and tables inside and outside.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Hortus Botanicus. The greenhouse was fantastic. I also particularly enjoyed the Chinese herb garden and the Japanese gardens. The entrance building where you purchase tickets has a lovely cactus garden and carnivorous plants section above it which is definitely worth looking at. The aquarium in the greenhouse is a nice add on too.

This botanical garden is amazing! We loved the various greenhouses and the herb garden outside. It's definitely worth a visit!

Definitely it would be better to visit in the summer however it was still a nice, peaceful place to walk around and enjoy some nature.
