I arrived here in April when the place was unfortunately closed. I got a set of new tickets, so I can come back when the corona closure has come to an end. Great service!! Look forward to coming to see the museum and the fabulous VOC ship.

Small but informative museum. Love the Batavia ship! Please donate some to preserve this magnificent dutch ship. I did.

Batavia land has an important story to tell which it is doing on the back of a small group of volunteers. Travellers and the locals need to support otherwise the future looks bleak. Go and visit you won't be disappointed

Shared my coffee and lemon loaf cake with a tiny bird who swooped in and sat beside me. Cool day. Not a cheap day out if you take public transport. 44 return from Amsterdam Ziud plus an extra 24 for the bus which is literally 3 stops. Buy the 5 day excursion if you can.

Nice place which gives a view into the old manner of shipbuilding. A typical dutch kogge lay beside, you can go on board and into the ship.

This museum consists of 3 parts. The indoor that is pretty normal. The outdoor schipyard and the batavia ship. If you give a 3 or 4 star for the indoor museum, you have to visit the two outdoor parts. The entrance is a bit strange fot the shipyard. In fact there are two. Highly recommended if it is not raining. Ps this area is pretty good for Dutch raining standards.

Beautiful small museum of the art of building old-time ships. Good time for the kids and adults as well
