My dad was held here during the war. They do a great job of educating visitors on what went on there during WWII. I like that they decided to preserve what they could against the people's wish to forget the worst parts of the war. People need to know the history to, hopefully, never repeat it. Everyone I met there were extremely helpful in furthering my understanding of what my dad went through there.

There's almost nothing left from the camp itself, but the visitors center is full of interesting models, pictures and items. They are going to reconstruct a part of the camp it I understand it correctly. I heard the tour is good, but we got assigned to someone who dragged every tiny detail out and lectured as if to kids (with voices and acting out scenes in a childish way), so perhaps they need to have some training in that area. On the whole it was touching, informative and educational. Well worth the trip!

Immersive, outside photo display of former prisoners. They were more than just a number. An accompanying flyer gives their name and a personal statement. Friendly volunteers give you a nice history of the camp.

If you want to learn about the second world war history that took place in The Netherlands, then this is one of those places you should really visit! Very mind blowing, but seriously interesting stories about people who were kept there against there will.
