Great experience despide being our last-minute decision for New Year's Eve dinner! We arrived in Maastricht late afternoon the 31st Dec and we were looking for a place to dine. We ended up here and we really appreciate the menu and the combined wines. Food was great, good combination of qualitative ingredients and fantasy of the chef. Service as well, and a special thanks for our waitress that was giving us really big glasses of wine! :) if in Maastricht, have a dinner here!

Service was great although a bit slow, our waiter was especially friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Food was a sort of Dutch version of fancy bar food. Cozy atmosphere right at the docks, overlooking the water and boats.

This restaurant is lovely situated just a few steps away from city center, near the cinema, at Maastricht's tiny city harbor Het Bassin. Inside an old round warehouse for storing goods coming of the ships this restaurant sells a nice variety of dishes. The place has a nice ambiance and friendly staff. Service could be a bit faster though. I'm usually more generous with the star rating but I can't based on what we were served last night. Food looked great and very appetizing but it was absolutely blend and it felt nearly every dish lacked salt and pepper. Even the nice cod served was not juicy and did not taste like it ever seen any sea. A bit of butter and some salt would have made a world of difference in an otherwise pretty dish. Maybe the intention of the chef is to serve healthy (low salt, fat, etc) cuisine, I dont know. It's however affecting flavor too much in my opinion. They can obviously cook as they pick interesting ingredients which are served really delightful. All the more a shame that flavor is lacking behind To end on a high note, the dessert we had was very tasty. We enjoyed the Bananasplit 43 a lot. Drinks were good, plenty choice and not overly priced. 3 star still because nearly everything else was great here and flavor is still subjective.

Small and somewhat hidden away establishment with a view of the docks. Very cozy interior with just enough decoration to set it apart from the rest as being that tiny bit more fancy. You wouldn't take a boatload of kids here, but for a culinairy intimate first date this would be perfect. Over all, the food had a spicy edge to it, something I personally really enjoy. This could be just a coincidence though because of what we got (we had a voucher), but I noticed it throughout the plates. Compliments to the girl waiting tables yesterday evening (1 feb); she looked like she could handle the entire restaurant by herself, actually having fun in in the process. Very polite, quick and well mannered. About the food once more: Portions were reasonable, though if you haven't had lunch they wouldn't suffice; I ate every last bit. Very delicious though; I'm usually more of a \quick snack\ kinda guy, but Dock Five had the absolute perfect mix of \easy food\ and posh dining. I'd really like going back there, and that's saying something!

Amazing place with great, reasonably priced food and wine. Great vegetarian options too! The atmosphere is very nice and the location is gorgeous. Owner is friendly and very helpful
