A relative small museum with on the lower floor fossils including the famous mosasaurs. On the upper floor more recent animals. The information at the museum is both in English and Dutch but you cannot always read it due to wear. During the pandemic you must make a reservation for the museum. That is fine for me, but you can only do that by sending an email! It is not possible to make an booking at their website. Overall, the museum feels old and needs an upgrade.

Small museum, but certainly a must see in the town. In a cozy atmosphere you could enjoy a nice collection within permanent, temporary exhibitions and outside. The specialty of museum is ancient animals found very close by to Maastricht - mammoths and dinos. It is a nice visit for both children and adults. Small souvenir shop is available.
Nice museum to visit. Many details about nature including extinct and exist animals, big and small sizes. They also have temporary exhibition, it was about insect photography when I went.
Great place to go with kids. It's a small scaled museum in the heart of Maastricht. Great for a Sunday afternoon!
