I was disappointed at the lack of privacy in this place. Acupuncture should involve extensive verbal consultation of the problem... in private. The room where it took place was only partitioned with walls the do not meet the ceiling, so I could hear next-door's massage taking place and they could hear everything I was saying. Also the lady did not delve deep at all into my issues so I was not confident she understood my problems. Maybe a language barrier as her English was not very advanced. The actual acupuncture was the most painful I have experienced ( I've been to several before ). Perhaps best go this place if you are Chinese or Dutch? But they should and could make a real private consultation room.
I have been having pain in my neck, shoulders and having severe headaches as well for almost a week. After i visited my own western doctor who told me to increase doss of painkillers I thought there is nobody to help me. I called \Mercy\ out of desperation and made an appointment for massage and acupuncture treatment. And it was great. I felt how my energy started flowing through my body and i felt later in the day very tired. However after a night of sleep I still felt pain in my neck but the day after and until today 4 days later I am pain free. I thank the \MERCY\ people for this. Chinese medicine has approach to focus on the body and its energy while western approach focus on technological development and science which is not bad but in my case had nothing to do with me. Chinese medical approach offers healthy alternatives where western doctoring fails or falls.. 2 years back , my partner suffered serious itching and ecszema as side effect to statins prescribed by his doctor, for cholesterol control.. the only option suggested was antihistamines for the itching... yet more pills with more side effects! Dr Liu, the female half of Mercy , who thankfully speaks dutch and english too, put him through a combi therapy of moxibustion for the ecszema, herbal therapy for detoxing the blood, and acupuncture to boost enery and organ function...plus recommendations on food intake.. several treatments later, all the ecszema was gone, and even without the statins, his bad cholesterol count dropped 20% thanks to Dr Lius treatment. We are so grateful for this nonfarmaceutical approach to health care!
