Not only by raising money through the Foundation Rowena Goes Ape, but also by blogging and posting relevant content on social media. And also by actually working as a volunteer in various Rescue Centers taking care of all kind of animals. For schools and companies I give presentations about the importance of wildlife conservation. Just doing my bit. Every Friday, next to my normal job, I take care of traumatised and intentionally infected Chimpanzees (e.g. HIV) at a Rescue Center of Stichting AAP (APE Foundation, Almere, Netherlands). Twice a year I work in Wildlife Rescue Centers all around the world: Tasikoki Wildlife Rescue Center (Sulawesi, Indonesia, founded by dr. Willie Smits) taking care of Orangutans, Macaques and Sunbears. Bali Wildlife Rescue Center (Bali, Indonesia) taking care of Gibbons, Leaf Monkeys, Hornbills and Crocodiles Free The Bears Wildlife Rescue Center, a Sunbear and Moonbear Sanctuary in Cambodia.
