Impressive collection. A must for everyone interested in history. My pictures are taken in 2015.

Nice museum, very friendly and helpful staff, great collection. Tip if you are in town and need a breather: You can have coffee next to a real Egyptian temple here (without entering the museum part of the building). The Temple of Taffeh was moved to Leiden when Egypt planned to build a dam in the Nile that would flood it. Worth a visit!
Stunning!!! If you are a big fan of ancient Egypt, you definitely need to go there. They have real temple from Egypt inside the museum!!! Great for children (group 4, NL) as a part of educational process (ancient history).
A great museum with a lot of collections. Good for adults and junior kids who are learning world history. It’ll be nicer if there’s a play room or something for kids.
It would be really nice for a weekend with the kids, friends, family, lovers to the things about Egypt, pyramids, statutes, history, culture, mummies, ...; Greece, and the roman time in the Netherlands. There is a restaurant for lunch, coffee... it was an educational museum.. :) can spend around 4 hours to see everything there. I spent only 2.5 hours so the part about Roman time in the NL was a bit rush
Great place indeed. Loads of information. Wonderful and helpful staff. thank you.
There's plenty to see and more than enough to fill a good 2 hour visit. The layout was very well designed, so you would get to see every part of each exhibition. A downside is that not all the descriptions were translated to English, which is odd since plenty were translated.
This museum is a lust for your eyes and a feast to your senses. We've enjoyed our visit to the museum together with the family. The children where inspired by al the wonders of the history.
