Plastic Whale B.V. Reviews | Rating 4.9 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Plastic Whale B.V. is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Le Mairekade 33A. Plastic Whale B.V. is rated 4.9 out of 5 in the category environmental organization in Netherlands. Plastic Whale is the first professional plastic fishing company in the world. A social enterprise with a mission: make the world’s waters plastic-free and create value from plastic waste. It started five years ago with a single challenge to build a boat made of plastic waste. Today, we have a fleet of six design boats made from Amsterdam Canal Plastic. It is our goal to go ‘out of business’: overfishing is a positive phenomenon in our case. With your team, department or company you can help us achieve our goal: come plasticfishing with us on the canals of Amsterdam or at the Rotterdam harbour!

Super team activity! The weather was not great, but Plastic Whale provided reusable poncho's on board. They also respected the COVID-19 measures. Captains were fun and kind. Overall, we had a great afternoon! Thank you and keep up the great work :)

An unforgettable experience and in my opinion one of the best team events to do in Amsterdam. Our team had fun although it was pouring and we are proud to have contributed to a world with less plastic waste in it. Absolute 5 star! Go Plastic Whale!

Great team building experience and great to see that the boats are made from 100% recycled and recyclable PET bottles. Happy to support this initiative and it felt good to take part in raising awareness and collecting even more bottles for the production of even more boats - and at the same time cleaning Amsterdam's canals. The skippers were funny and also good local guides, helping to get to know Amsterdam from the canal perspective.

I went as part of a group holiday in Amsterdam, 15 of us in two boats, and we had such a brilliant time. It was fun and really satisfying to help clean up the canals, all while seeing this beautiful city from the water. We collected a surprising amount of rubbish! A few people passing by saw what we were doing and called out 'well done' or 'thank you' which was a lovely bonus! Patrick and Siebe were wonderful Captains, and Patrick explained the history of the Plastic Whale and how they started plastic fishing, which was a great introduction. If you're looking for something a bit different in Amsterdam - a different way to see the city and even get involved in keeping it beautiful - I really recommend this! Thank you Plastic Whale for a fantastic afternoon!

Despite the rain and the cold we had a very good experience. The captain Erik was very passionate about Plastic Whale's work and also was able to be a real tour guide and told us many interesting facts about the city and the canals. Always great to do a canal tour through Amsterdam and even better if you can combine it with some social responsible activity.
