Read and write reviews about RoboCup 2013. - RoboCup is the one and only world championship for robotics. - The championship was founded to share the knowledge about robotics and to accelerate the developments. - This WC is being organized for the 17th time. After previous editions in, among others, Japan, Australia, the US, China, Singapore and Mexico, the WC is coming to the Netherlands now! - RoboCup is comprised of 15 different competitions, divided into 4 categories: o Soccer robots which play soccer games between two teams in a fully autonomous way. o Care robots that help people execute daily tasks. o Rescue robots, capable of finding victims in emergency situations. o Junior competitions in which about 1000 young people compete against each other with self-made and -programmed robots. - In 2012, the Dutch team Tech United became the world champion in robot soccer. - Teams from several Dutch universities will compete in the various competitions and show that the Netherlands is one of the world’s leaders in robotics.
