Wow! Fantastic 9 dishes menu in a supercool atmosphere,although the owner told us that they were about to renovate. The menu would change in whole like every 3 months, each week a plate would be replaced by another one. Unfortunately, the daylight was gone by the dessert - so the pictures are not mirroring the wonderful taste. The service was kind and quick. We really enjoyed the evening. Thank you very much!

This was honestly the most incredible dining experience I've ever had and I've eaten at a lot of nice places the world over. There is so much going on here but delivered so effortlessly that it is hard to capture in words. Firstly the restaurant itself is a masterpiece in decor, from the incredible art, to the cosy seating and hand made crockery. All nestled within a sheikh modern industrial shell. Quite breathtaking. It is doing a disservice to call the service, service. It's more like dining with friends who take incredible care of you. Nothing is a problem, the smiles are genuine and you leave reluctantly, planning your next return. Then there is the food. We had the eight course tasting menu and every dish was an absolute delight. From light airy and delecate dishes to rich and complex flavors, this menu delivers it all. Oh and definitely get the wine pairing option, it is a rare treat to have a sommelier so skillfully accompany the food with wine as if they were conceived of the same mind. Incredible experience that has left me wondering if it'll ever be matched.
If the Michelin starred Les Semailles by Strasbourg was an excellent finish to end the outraging 2019, Restaurant ONE in Roermond would be a perfect match to open bright 2020. The team is outstanding. Just from the professional but very friendly reservation process (we had to cancel once) till the goodbye wave at the exit door (entrance too). If you were once there, you would probably know why I appreciate such a gesture. Last Saturday we were lucky to be able to enjoy the Market Menu with an opening house-appetitive and end it with coffee and sweets. I treasured every bit of it. What else to mention about this extra ordinary restaurant, is that you are not only devour an exquisite menu with refined wine pairing in such a modern and classy ambiance but also if you are (like us) „traveling“ by car to Roermond from neighbor cities in Germany (or wherever further than 100 km) and happen to drive an electronic car, you could even charge it while dining in. It’s probably, unlike in Germany, something in common in the Netherlands or in Scandinavia. Not a must but nice to have, isn’t it? Before forgotten, congrats to Edwin Soumang n Team for keeping the star in 2020!
