The White House(Witte Huis) and the buildings on Wijnhaven are one of the few historic buildings that survived the bombing of Rotterdam in May 1940. The White House was for a long time the highest building in Europe. The buildings on the Wijnhaven were demolished when the railroad tunnel was build. When they finished the tunnel they rebuild the buildings again. In this area you will find many places where you can eat and drink.
