I booked this hotel with a won auction on Vakantieveilingen and paid a small price for a comfort room. Easy to find, though paid parking when arriving. Could be included in the price, especially in 4 star hotel. And there are a lot of things why this is not a 4 star hotel worthy: - Rooms are very basic and don’t have the standard equipment it should have. (Safe, slippers, minibar,...) - The whole hotel seems a bit like travelling back in time, should need some renovation here and there. Swimming pool is very small and looks like one from the 80s. Apart from that, the whole town is very old thus in the hotel also no young people. No offense though! What I found ridiculous, was the price of the rental bicycles. 1 day was 10 euros for a very standard bicycle, 20 euros for an electrical bycicle. Price for 2 persons is the same as a rental car? They should encourage renting a bicycle instead of putting this ridiculous prices. I was very happy paying not so much, because if I paid the full price, 70 euros for a comfort room, I would have felt ripped off very badly. This should be a 3-star hotel to be honest.

Very nice hotel deserves three stars, close to the dunes. Perfect for a weekend or midweek getaway! Nice and helpful personnel.

Furniture almost falling apart Black spots in bathroom Wallpaper coming loose Very cold, old and bland decoration Extremely cramped parking (for which you have to pay extra!) But at least the breakfast was alright and they (begrudgingly) allow dogs so there's that. Definitely not worth the price (174 per night after all the hidden costs!), would not recommend!

One of the Worse let's called it "hotel" night I've ever had. I've travelled around the World and had better experiences and being able to sleep in cheap pensions than in this called "hotel". Such a shame! Beds made with old fashioned springs and covered with a shaggy topper, are older than Matusalen age and overused more than a woman from the Red light district (whom I have plenty of respect). The dusty air in the room makes up to wake up with a bad throat ache and a voice of a heavy smoker and/or an international male truck driver (I've never done any) combined. From the horrible night, we were so finished in the morning that had no energy to even try the other amenities that probably have given it a long time the 4 star hotel. Nowadays, it doesn't deserve more than 3. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, sorry.

For a hotel with a sauna and pool, we'd expect at least 2 towels per person. Also, we slept with 3 people in one room that was meant for 2. The person had to sleep on a stretcher bed that was much less comfortable than the other 2 beds. The experience in the hotel and pool and sauna was very good on the other hand!

Compared to the price, you would expect more. The rooms are a bit dated, parking is drama. However, location is awesome, breakfast fantastic and staff is friendly. Sauna and pool are nice extras.

The rooms were fine but the pricing is nonsensical due to them switching their amenities. My parents got a room exactly the same size as mine even though it cost more. It turned out they were basically paying more to have a larger closet and fridge instead of a kitchenette. It's not clear that one should cost more than the other.
