The castle is surrounded by historical gardens and is in the possession of a fine authentic interior. The mediaeval castle has been converted into a country house in the 18th century. The best known resident was Belle van Zuylen, author, composer and feminist avant la lettre. Her most famous quote is “I have no talent for subordination”.
