Awful. If you appreciate a good night's sleep, do yourself a favour and stay out of this place. Messy, noisy, dirty, staff doesn't care about the facilities... I've been to hostels that are better than this place. For the price you pay (and since it is part of the Reserved Accommodation Programme of the university) you'd expect it to have some higher standards, but no. It's simply a rip-off. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the contract they have you sign goes against the Dutch Civil Law (you are entitled to terminate your temporary rent agreement early with a payment period notice: art. 7:271 sub 1 BW & art. 7:721 sub 5 BW), so if you are in a situation that you rented with them and want to terminate prematurely, it is legally possible, but they will tell you otherwise. For the price you pay here you're far better off trying to get a room in Camelot or Nido (esp. if you're eligible for huurtoeslag). Unfortunatelly the housing market in Utrecht is messed up and there will always be enough desperate students willing to pay the ridiculous fees XIOR imposes.
Terrible services, disgusting place and incredibly overpriced. worst than a scam. I would call it fraud. I truly can't believe such a place can be legal in the Netherlands
honestly, the worst experience ever. the radiators didnt work and it took 3 weeks before i got a reply for them to come and fix it, the cleaning staff that are there every day are nice and all, but other than them, the rest of the people are rude and pathetic. it was an unpleasant stay. needless to say i will never use their "services" again.
Definitely one of the worst housing experiences of my life. Would never recommend to anyone.
Ik huurde vanaf eind 2018 een studio/appartement bij Xior van 30m2. Ik heb de organisatie als zeer vervelend ervaren. De gevraagde huur is te hoog, waarvoor een procedure loopt bij de huurcommissie. Deze heeft mij en andere huurders in het gelijk gesteld en de kale huurprijs met 300,- verlaagd van 850 naar 550 euro. Daarnaast heeft Xior de door mij betaalde borg niet binnen 10 weken terugbetaald. Ik heb dus het aanbetaalde borgbedrag nooit retour ontvangen. Ik zou iedereen aanraden om NOOIT bij Xior te gaan huren.
Mooie ruime betaalbare kamers.
