A very nice and interactive museum. They have „places“ for children on every floor so you have a good chance that even children under 4 stand the whole museum. You get a free drink per person in the cafe ( it has very fair prices compared to other museums)

#32Venlo great location right across the road from the train station. Small shop and a nice cafe on ground floor. It was completely empty when I went to visit, even the cafe on a Saturday afternoon. Being so quite the prehistory display on level 1 was a bit eery! Second level had a lot of Christian art, very well laid out and displayed. Last floor had a lot about the provience of Limburg with lots of activities for kids. #railthetrails

Very well organized and we had troubles getting the kids out of it (!) thanks to a clever set of puzzles they had to solve to discover a secret code.

Nice varied museum with temporary exhibits and a permanent educational collection on aspects of life in Limburg. Of interest is the 20 minute movie in a 360 degree screen about the history of the area between the Maas and the Rhine, which was indivisible before national borders. Includes one free coffee. With Museumkaart absolutely worth it. Venlo downtown is actually a very nice place, don't forget to walk in the riverside.

It's extremely entertaining and full of amazing exhibitions. From prehistory to modern times, in other words, everyone should find something to enjoy.

What a great exhibition style that Limburg museum has! From pre-historic times to the recent years, really comprehensive coverage. Even if there is no English explanations, I sincerely like it and will come there again!

Nice location near Venlo central station (three minute walk) . Inside it's a modern architecture with a long metal stair which will take you to the exhibition rooms. I viewed the extreme beautifully exhibition of Evert Thielen one of Holland's best figurative painters.
