Zannse Schans is the famous tourist attractions. Windmils, a kind of power machine that converts wind energy into mechanical energy; it uses adjustable blades or stepped wooden wheels to collect. You may walking around by the trail and dockside. There're wooden shoes, cheese factory, handicrafts, souvenirs. Recommended!!

It was a great visit. We had the opportunity to know how they produce wooden shoes, always very kind and they even spoke Spanish, it was nice. After, we were explained how they produce cheese and we got free samples And if that was not enough, we could try different types of cheese to know what to buy. Every cheese was a unique experience as there were many of them I haven’t even tried before. So I bough one smoked cheese from cow milk and another one from goat milk. They were really tasty with a glass of wine The whole experience was great along with all the travelers.

"My dream came true once I saw those windmills and the shoes factory" Amsterdam has thousands of choices for you to enjoy, besides the best cheese of the world, we were aware of that but there was one place I was not planning to miss by all means. Zaanse Schans, was on my dreams for years. Since I was a kid I fell in love with the cartoons in which people from Netherlands were pictured dancing with those pointy wooden shoes. How can they actually wear them, was that some sort of imagination or an accurate fact. While on that beautiful place, we learned how they make the shoes, the type of wood they use and lots of history. I wanted to buy a pair of each one because they are decorated with beautiful paintings by the artisans. The Shoe Shop is near by the cheese store where you can also try several types of cheese of different colors. Gee they were simple marvelous, the texture the flavor and the color...dreamy. Once I walked outside and saw those windmills, I said to myself: There is no need for me to see anything else...this is all I wanted to see.

This was the best museum here! It had so much history about clogs and so much information. They also had live demonstration to show how a modern day clog is made. Felt like I learnt a lot and there was fun and engaging information. There was a shop selling clogs and other items however it wasn't as bad as the other shops here.
