The first night, we had Wienerschnitzel, Dutch steak, and pork chop. The second night, we had veal liver with baked onion and beef stew. This is most likely Dutch food at its best: unpretentious and flavorful. The Dutch steak was just right with the temperature, and was not overdone or undercooked for my taste.

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam to enjoy delicious food. Simple cuisine that is fulfilling the taste boxes without needing to be set in decadent surroundings. Its like a local pub - but with a more homely feel, since it is in a home. Can vouch for the stewed beef and Amsterdam chicken. Grandmother's pudding is an interesting take on trifle; not too heavy or sweet and without jelly.

Amazing classic Dutch food. Our 3rd time here. Schnitzel with stroganoff sauce is fantastic. Boiled potatoes are waxy and not overdone. Brussels are fantastic. Cabbage and carrot are to die for!!! Absolutely fantastic food! Reasonably priced and good selection of drinks. Table service was great. Look forward to returning next year from Scotland

Never tried Dutch before, went there at lunch time on Friday last week and was extremely impressed. Seems to be a place mainly for locals, very reasonably priced and the food is incredible. I did not know that dutch food was so good. Place is small so you may need to wait a bit to be seated, definitely worth it though, the restaurant I liked the most in Amsterdam

We were cold and tired so canceled our reservations across town and decided to try this place based on the reviews and convenient location near our hotel. I consider this basic Dutch food, tasty and very reasonably priced (we paid more for pancakes in a tourist trap than for this substantial dinner with wine). Comfort food, efficient, friendly service. Stewed beef and chicken, potatoes, vegetables. Perfect for an easy-going casual dinner.
