I never have been at a municipality that worked that perfectly fine. I came here to register: it is a nice and open building, with a great user experience (you immediately know where you find what, nice signs to guide you intuitively) and very kind employees who work perfectly fine and fast - fundamentally different from what I know from authorities. The thing I liked by far the most, was the machine that assigned tickets to the people waiting. I have never seen such a simple, perfectly fine User interface! You easily get your ticket, everything works fluently and you don't have to wait too lang anywhere

Had to wait 2 months and still waiting for an appointment. Do these people work only 2 hours a day?

Bureaucratic administration making up their own rules

The municipality in Maastricht I cannot recommend unfortunately - really, really slow-working (even though they don't seem to be in a huge stress, seem relaxed, are quite well staffed whenever I am there and usually not a lof of people are waiting), no possibilites to talk to someone without an appointment, if you come only 5 minutes to late you can't scan in your appointment sheet anymore and basically have to schedule a new appointment, for general questions (like housing subsidy for students in Maastricht) they can't help (not even give additional informations or do an extra effort to help) and they did not even know where I can send my letter/where the next letter box is (they send me to the wrong place at Jumbo where there is no letter box...). All in all, unflexible, slow-working and really bureaucratic (and I really thought German bureaucracy is bad, but it can be topped by the Dutch one!).
