Beautiful place to start off on one of the many signposted walks through the national park. Lengths vary from 3 up to 15km There is quite a large parking area but part of it will be very muddy after rain or in winter. Also nearby is a sheepfold where around 4pm the sheep return from a day out on the heath. The visitor center is a nice place to visit when it's open.

Excellent, friendly people good biological ice cream they have. Good atmosphere they gave me free coffee because there was too much coffee also free cookies. We bought 2 bird houses wich have thick walls, fine quality.
