Daarom geeft De Key deze groep de kans om hun eerste stappen te zetten op de woningmarkt. Deze woonstarters zijn bijvoorbeeld werkende jongeren, studenten, net afgestudeerden, maar ook jonge stellen, statushouders, jongeren met begeleiding en tienermoeders. Impuls aan doorstroming Woonstarters krijgen een huurcontract voor maximaal 5 jaar. Zij maken gebruik van alles wat de stad te bieden heeft én brengen nieuwe energie en impulsen. Intussen bouwt de woonstarter woonduur op en werkt aan een volgende stap. Voor de één een andere sociale huurwoning, voor de ander een woonruimte die ze zelf financieren. Zo krijgen steeds weer nieuwe woonstarters de kans om in Amsterdam te wonen. Betaalbaarheid waarborgen De prijzen van woningen binnen de ring A10 en net daarbuiten schieten omhoog. De Key zorgt voor tegenwicht met betaalbare sociale huurwoningen in dit gebied. Met het huidige bezit en met vernieuwende woonconcepten krijgen woonstarters de ruimte in het meest populaire deel van Amsterdam. Zo dragen we bij aan een ongedeelde stad. Plaats voor iedereen In woningen van De Key wonen ook oudere huurders. Deze trouwe huurders kunnen blijven rekenen op goede dienstverlening en onderhoud van de woning. De Key zorgt samen met de andere Amsterdamse corporaties voor woonruimte voor alle doelgroepen die in aanmerking komen voor een sociale huurwoning. Voor de stad De Key levert een bijdrage aan maatschappelijke vraagstukken. We stellen onszelf steeds weer de vraag wat Amsterdam nodig heeft en welke rol we daarbij spelen. In onze koers gaan we daarom voor het huisvesten van woonstarters. Met nieuwe ideeën en energie dragen zij bij aan de motor die Amsterdam draaiende houdt.

Worst experience ever. I arrived yesterday in Rode Kruislaan. The room was so dirty I can't even walk on it without shoes. The shower has fuzzes and the wall is full of marks of stickers. The door makes a terrifying noise when opening it, and the tap leeks water. No freezer, oven or even a table with chairs in the kitchen. Half of the stove are broken and there's no washing mashing or dryer either. Not even a bin! Sent them a few emails but no answer in none of them. Now I have to wait until Monday for ALL these problems (if they at least answer to me) I encounter when paying a for a room that is not cheap at all. Disgusting experience. Wouldn't recommend it at all.

Very poor customer service. The light bulbs in the communal hall are all defect and quit working. After submitting a repair request through their website on 16 March, I heard nothing for 4 months. So I sent an email to Dino Vers, but after sending 3 different emails I got no response. Then, I called on 23 July, and once again asked why the repair service was not taken into consideration. The guy on the phone, Mr. Van Delft, told me he'd look into it but it is now 27 August, more than a month later, and we still have broken lights in the communal hall. Very bad service! EDIT: It is now 10 dec. and we still have broken lights – nearly a year later. This is after another phone call

Stayed at Cleyndertweg and it’s such a mess. Repairs that were supposed to be done were left untouched. There are flies everywhere and also rats. The elevator usually smells like vomit, and there are a lot of vandalism/spray paint everywhere. Most people living there also have no care for this building and their neighbors. feels like a frat house. The employees on the phone are also very rude, and you rarely see any caretaker in the office during supposed office hours. This company only seem to care in managing their newer properties than the old ones. If I could rate this as no stars if I could.

If you have any means to avoid this company, take it. They have the rancid audacity to threaten you with a 100 fine if you can't reschedule for mistakes made in their own administration. They have consistently been reluctant to respond to general repairs and maintenance of the building, most important of which concern the sewage and general safety, but also concerning campus-wide wifi and parking spaces getting hogged by taxi drives.
